LSU’s Olivia Dunne No Longer Taking Classes on Campus
She is one of the most recognizable collegiate athletes in the country and her fame is catching up with her.
Olivia Dunne, the star gymnast at LSU, has attracted fans everywhere she goes and that includes on the campus in Baton Rouge.
In a recent interview with Elle, LLivvy Dunne addressed her fame on and off the campus of LSU.
As you may recall, a mob of young men demanded to see Dunne during a gymnastics meet and because the crowd was so rowdy, this forced LSU to add additional security for the LSU gymnastics team.
Well, what do you think happened as her fame grew at LSU? Yes, many would approach her for autographs and photos, so much so that she became concerned about her well-being on the campus at LSU.
So, the number one female athlete when it comes to NIL money in collegiate sports was forced to no longer take in-person classes at LSU.
Out of fear for her own safety, the star gymnast now takes online courses and avoids much of the interaction with fellow students at LSU.
While she may miss this part of "campus life" her safety has become a top priority for her and her family.
While other star athletes can often be seen in the Quad on campus, don't expect to see Livvy Dunne near the library or anywhere on campus for that matter. Her fame has caught up to her.
As for when she graduates from LSU, Dunne tells the magazine that she'd like to live on a beach. After all, you have plenty of real estate for yourself there.
If you're wondering Dunne majoring in interdisciplinary studies, which is a combination of three minors: communications, sociology, and leadership.
The star athlete does say that the fame and attention on social media have not only benefited her, but it has also brought much attention to the rest of her team.
Dunne says that she can't help how men may view her on social media, and that her primary goal has been to bring attention to female athletes. That said, the star LSU gymnast makes thousands of dollars for each Instagram post she publishes.
LSU gymnastics often do sell out the PMAC on the campus at LSU for its meets.
