Tuesday afternoon, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns couldn't throw it in the ocean.

And, in Grand Cayman, it's a pretty big ocean.

The cold-shooting Cajuns made just 4-27 shots from three point range in falling to Wyoming, 70-61 in the Cayman Islands Classic.

The Cajuns (3-2) shot just 33% from the field (22-66) for the game and made just six field goals from outside the paint in the contest.

Louisiana shot just 27.3 percent in the first half and did not make a three pointer, trailing at halftime 35-23.

The Cajuns got to within six points on two occasions in the second half but could get no closer.

Frank Bartley IV led the Cajuns with 19 points, but made just 4-14 shots in the game.  Ja'Keenan Gant added 13 points for the Cajuns.

Alex Aka Gorski came off the bench to lead Wyoming (4-0) with 16 points, while Louis Adams scored 14.  Nyaries Redding added 13, including 8-8 from the free throw line, while Alan Herndon scored ten. all in the first half.

A 14-2 run in the final four minutes of the first half proved to be the difference, as the Cowboys turned a 21-19 lead into a 35-21 margin.

Louisiana coach Bob Marlin was ejected with 4:37 remaining after receiving two technical fouls.

The Cajuns will play Richmond in the third place game scheduled for 4:00 pm Wednesday.
