Top Seed Djokovic Falls in Third Round at Wimbledon

Even rain delays couldn't stop the man from San Fran.

In a match that took two days and was suspended four times by rain delays, American Sam Querrey ended top seed Nojak Djokovic's quest for a calendar Grand Slam, winning 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 Saturday in Wimbledon's third round.

Querrey led two sets to none before play was suspended on Friday.  Djokovic came out and won the first four games of the fourth set, despite a pair of rain delays.

Djokovic broke Querrey to take a 5-4 lead in the fourth set and then hit two straight winners that were called out.  Djokovic had used up all of his challenges by that time and found himself down  0-30.  Querrey went on to force a tiebreaker, which he won 7-5.

It's the first time the world's #1 player lost a Grand Slam match to an American since the Australian Open in 2009.

Querrey will not face Freshman Nicolas Mahut in the round of 16.
