Kansas Knocks Baylor From Unbeaten Ranks
And now there are two.
Baylor became the latest undefeated team to fall, losing last night to Kansas 92-74 before a raucous crowd at the Allen Field House.
Thomas Robinson had 27 points and 14 rebounds and Tyshawn Taylor matched his career high, scoring 28 as Kansas (15-3, 5-0 Big 12) sent a message that the road to the Big 12 title still goes through Lawrence, Kansas.
Trailing 27-22, the Jayhawks went on a 17-2 run to close the first half and take a 39-29 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Baylor (17-1, 4-1) got within six points a couple of minutes into the second half, but that was their last hurrah. KU scored on their next seven possessions to take a commanding 59-42 lead.
The loss by Baylor leaves Syracuse and Murray State as the only unbeaten teams left in Divison I basketball.
