A football player for the Ragin Cajuns was carried off the field Tuesday night with what looked like a serious injury, and now he's provided fans with an update.

Keyon Martin was down on the turf for nearly 15 minutes as the medical team stabilized him after an ugly hit on an opposing player, and he was immediately transported to a hospital.

While down on the ground, his entire team huddled around him as medics put him on a stretcher and then on a cart to transport him to a nearby ambulance.

Well, there's some good news to report. It appears that Keyon will be okay, as he posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed with the thumbs up.

In a post on social media, the UL football player said, "Appreciate All The Prayers And Concerns. Ima Shake Back. God Got Me!!!"

Here's a look at Keyon in the hospital with his neck stabilized in a brace.

The Ragin Cajuns posted this photo of Martin as he boarded the plane to return to Lafayette with his teammates. Louisiana defeated Texas State 23-17 before a national audience on ESPN 2.

We are so glad to see that Keyon is up and moving fine, after what appeared to be a serious neck injury.
