It's Labor Day today. A day when we're supposed to get off from work, relax, and not even think about doing a darn thing.

Of course, naturally, what do a lot of us do? Yep, we sit around and think about all the things we need to get done tomorrow on our job.

That's OK because if you're thinking that way, chances are you are successful and might even have a well-paying job.

The folks at Stacker frequently put out a list of some of the highest-paying jobs in America and right here in Lafayette, Louisiana.

To comprise this list, they took data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. As you can imagine, the data shows that higher degree holders generally earn more in a typical week and face lower rates of unemployment.

According to Stacker, the highest earners in the U.S. are what you expect: doctors, engineers, tech workers, executives, and corporate leaders.
