The NBA has announced that Bill Walton has died.

The two-time NBA Champion passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Walton who had an extraordinary NBA  career transitioned into broadcasting and fans quickly caught on to his witty form of broadcasting.

While Walton was known by many for calling games in the NBA, in 2012 he started to call college basketball games and his unique broadcasting style was a "hit' among fans.

The American Sportscasters Association in 2009 named Bill Walton as one of the top 50 sports broadcasters in the industry.
