A bizarre case is unfolding in Louisiana where allegations of Solicitation of Murder have been made against a St. Martinville, Louisiana man.

According to the Chief of the Youngsville Police Department, Cody Louviere, the case began on Sunday, November 26 when officers from the department were called in to start investigating that the suspect had contacted a 3rd party to commit murder for hire.

Officers began their investigation, and yesterday, Thursday, November 30, police arrested 48-year-old Jeremy A Broussard of the 800 block of Dugas Road in St. Martinville on a charge of Solicitation of Murder.

Chief Louviere says his officers were able to secure an arrest warrant for Broussard. With the help of the U.S. Marshal's Service, they were able to locate the man in Rapides Parish. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on Thursday afternoon.

The case continues to be under investigation so there are no other details that are being released at this time.
