LSU Football Announces Major Change to 2024 Radio Crew
The 2024 LSU football season is here and some big changes are coming to the radio crew.
LSU announced that longtime color commentator, Doug Moreau, will not be on the call for the entire season. According to LSU, Moreau is recovering from surgery.
In the place of the legendary broadcaster will be former LSU football great, Jacob Hester. The Voice of the LSU Tigers remains Chris Blair.
Moreau has served as the LSU Football radio color analyst since 1988.
Doug Moreau was not only an all-American for the Tigers in 1965, but he was also the longtime District Attorney in Baton Rouge from 1974 until 2009.
This announcement comes after LSU announced that longtime Public Address announcer, Dan Borne will be away for most of the season as he focuses on his health.
So yes, there are some big changes this season surrounding LSU Athletics and some of the most noticeable will be via the broadcast in and out of the stadium.
We wish Moreau a speedy recovery. LSU kicks off its season on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Las Vegas when they take on the USC Trojans.
