Its actually unfair to say that the Dallas Cowboys have done nothing to start the NFL Free Agency window, because they've been losing players all day. So far the Cowboys have been like Billy Bob Thornton's role as Johnny Tyler in the movie Tombstone...when Kurt Russell's Wyatt Earp smacks him around and asks "You gonna do something, or are you just gonna stand there and bleed?"

I say that because the Cowboys have had their players agree to terms with other teams, but they (as of now) haven't announced agreements with anyone.

The Cowboys lost two players to the Washington Commanders, an NFC East rival. Oh, and also their former Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn, who is now Washington's Head Coach. They plucked Center Tyler Biadasz and Defensive End Dorance Armstrong from Dallas. Biadasz has agreed to a 3-year $30 million deal, while Armstrong gets a 3-year deal that could be worth up to $45 million.

The other big subtraction from Dallas was Running Back Tony Pollard you got a 3-year $24 million deal from the Tennessee Titans.

It wasn't just the fact that Dallas lost, its the fact that their division rivals are the ones adding. Washington took two from Dallas, and they kept adding more. They agreed to terms with Running Back Austin Ekeler and Linebacker Frankie Luvu. Then the Philadelphia Eagles made a massive splash by adding prized free agent Running Back Saquon Barkley.

That wasn't it for Philly though. They added Defensive End Bryce Huff and re-signed Brandon Graham to solidify a defense that saw Fletcher Cox retire this week.

While the New York Giants lost Saquon Barkley, they did make a massive move by trading with the Carolina Panthers to acquire Linebacker Brian Burns. After the trade, they inked him to a 5-year $150 million deal. They also started work on their offensive line by signing former Green Bay Packers Guard Jon Runyan. The Giants also took a step to filling the Barkley hole by signing Running Back Devin Singletary.

Is it likely the Cowboys will remain silent in free agency? Probably not. Names like Devin White have been floated as possible targets, and they have other expiring contracts they may want to renew. But right now, its not a good look for a franchise that likes to seem splashy.
