SWLA’s Dani LaCour Releases Brand-New EP “In My Rearview”
(KNGT-FM) - Here in Southwest Louisiana, we are blessed to have some of the most talented local musicians you will find. One of those is Dani LaCour, and she just released BRAND-NEW music, and we've got everything you need to know...
Dani grew up in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, where her love for music started at a young age. She began singing karaoke with her dad when she was just 12 years old. Not long after that, she taught herself how to play guitar and started writing her own songs.
She kicked off her solo career in 2015 and has since performed all across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. In 2018, Dani won a local NashNext competition and later made it to the Top 60 on American Idol during Hollywood Week.
Since then, she has continued to grow as an artist. She’s released original music, formed a full band in Lake Charles, and keeps staying busy. In 2025, Dani was nominated for the Josie Music Awards for Best Female Songwriter of the Year.
You can find Dani performing all around Southwest Louisiana, whether at a local festival or at your favorite spot.

Over the weekend, Dani dropped a brand-new six-song EP called “In My Rearview.” The EP includes Pot and the Kettle, Praying in a Bathroom Stall, My Broken Heart, Jealousy, Man of Mine, and Backbone.
