Hornets Fall To Pistons 89-87
New Orleans native Greg Monroe had 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons to a home win over the New Orleans Hornets by the score of 89-87. The loss was the fifth straight for the Hornets (4-20).
Trevor Ariza (26 Pts, 7 Reb, 4 Ast, 3 Stl) had his best performance of the season in defeat.
Point guard Jarrett Jack sat out his second straight game with a sore knee. Starting in his place was Greivis Vasquez, who chipped in 14 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.
The Hornets are hoping some home-cooking will snap their current losing streak. The fleur-de-bees return home for 4 straight games at the Hive. The first of the 4 is this Monday when New Orleans hosts the Sacramento Kings. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
