Former Los Angeles Laker Flynn Robinson Dies

Former NBA guard Flynn Robinson, who played on the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers championship team, died on Thursday, at the age of 72.

Robinson, who died of cancer, averaged just under ten point a contest, on that 1971-72 Lakers team, which set an NBA record, with 33-consecutive victories.

Robinson played seven seasons in the NBA, averaging 14.0 points-per-game. His best season came with the Milwaukee Bucks, in 1969-70, when he averaged 21.8 points and 5.5 rebounds.
