New Orleans Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon received a warm welcome from a hospital staff when he returned to the Crescent City to receive his physical on Monday. However, the welcome he receives in his first game at the Hive next season might be a little cold.

Gordon understands that some Hornets fans didn't take kindly to his attempt to leave New Orleans this offseason, claiming that his "heart" was in Phoenix, and that he wouldn't be happy if the Hornets matched the Suns restricted tender. The Hornets said all along they would match any offer Gordon received on the open market, and they did.

So now Gordon is in Louisiana, but where is his heart? Where is his committment?

Eric spoke with Yahoo! sports blogger and basketball beat writer Marc J. Spears recently and somewhat answered those questions. In the interview, Gordon talks about the entire free agency process, his committment to New Orleans, playing alongside Austin Rivers, and his poor choice of words this offseason.
