Dan Patrick Addresses Personal Health Concerns On The Dan Patrick Show

Every weekday morning, Dan Patrick fills the airwaves in the Shreveport and Bossier City area while hosting The Dan Patrick Show on 1130 The Tiger (1130 AM KWKH). Patrick has been on the station for years, and before that he was welcomed into living rooms as one of the most legendary SportsCenter hosts of all time.

This morning on The Dan Patrick Show, the host revealed that he has been dealing with serious medical condition for years. Patrick says he's been dealing with severe joint pain due to a condition called polymyalgia rheumatica. He explained it as feeling like having the flu, without the nausea.

Patrick has been dealing with the issues for seven years, and stated that its led to him relying on medications, and even "self medicating" with alcohol.

He described his experiences with the medication Prednisone, which he said even led to suicidal thoughts.
