The Chicago Cubs remain alive in the 2016 Major League World Series, after defeating the Cleveland Indians, 3-2, in game 5 on Sunday night at Wrigley Field.

The wins by the Cubs' lead in the best-of-seven game series to 3-2, with the series now heading back to Cleveland, for game 6 on Tuesday night, and game 7, if necessary, on Wednesday night.

Cleveland got on the scoreboard first, scoring a run in the top half of the second inning, when Jose Ramirez blasted a solo home run to left-centerfield, giving them a 1-0 lead.

Chicago took the lead in the bottom half of the 4th inning, scoring all three of their runs, with the first coming on Kris Bryant's solo homer to left-centerfield:

The Indians scored the final run of the game in the top half of the 6th inning, when Francisco Lindor singled home Rajai Davis, to trim the deficit to 3-2, but that was all that they could muster, as the Cubs hung on for the one-run victory, as Aroldis Chapman pitched 2.2 innings of relief to help nail down the win.

Starter Jon Lester recorded the win on the mound for Chicago, allowing two runs in six innings of work.
