All Whiff: Aaron Judge Sets Dubious Record

Aaron Judge has had a marvelous rookie season.

He's hit tape measure homers, he won the MLB Home Run Derby.  He's got the Yankees in contention in the American League East.

He has also struck out.  A lot.

Judge set a major league record Saturday by striking out in his 36th consecutive game, the longest streak for any player in MLB history.

The old record was 35, set by pitcher Bill Stoneman of the Montreal Expos.

That's right.  A pitcher.

Judge struck out three times in the Yankees' 4-3 win over the Red Sox Saturday night, giving him 166 K's on the season.  That's the third most strikeouts in a season in Yankees' history.

The Yanks are four games behind Boston in the AL East.  They have 40 games remaining.
