Acadiana & Catholic-New Iberia Still Alive As LHSAA Playoffs Enter Fourth Week
The LHSAA football playoffs enter it's fourth week of play, and two teams from the Acadiana area are still playing for a state championship.
The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams will take on Zachary in a Class 5A state semifinal game on Friday night, while the Catholic High-New Iberia Panthers will battle Calvary Baptist for the Division III state crown, on Friday afternoon.

In the non-select brackets, play will enter the semifinal round.
In Class 5A, 15th-seeded Acadiana will be at home on Friday night, hosting 3rd-seeded Zachary, while 9th-seeded West Monroe will visit 4th-seeded Destrehan.
In Class 4A, top-seeded Plaquemine will travel to #5 Warren Easton, while #2 Neville hosts #3 Franklinton.
In Class 3A, top-seeded Livonia will host 5th-seeded West Feliciana, while 3rd-seeded Amite will entertain 15th-seeded North Webster.
In Class 2A, top-seeded Many will host #5 Northeast, while #2 Kinder will be at home to face #3 Sterlington.
In Class A, top-seeded Mangham will host 4th-seeded Kentwood, while 2nd-seededHaynesville will entertain 3rd-seeded West St. John.

In the select brackets, four state titles will be on the line this Friday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.
In Division I, top-seeded John Curtis will take on 6th-seeded Jesuit on Friday night at 8:30 pm.
