Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will play tonight versus the Portland Trail Blazers after the NBA rescinded a technical foul he received in a loss last night in Indiana.

The tech was officially the 16th of the year by Westbrook, though he had a technical rescinded earlier this year as well. Per NBA rule, any player who receives their 16th tech of the season must sit out the following game. Westbrook appealed, and won the appeal.

The game has major playoff implications, as both the Thunder and Pelicans are currently tied for 8th place in the Western Conference, with New Orleans owning the tiebreaker.

Each team has two games left this season.

New Orleans plays at Minnesota tonight, while OKC hosts Portland. The Trail Blazers announced today they will not play all-star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (left foot sprain). Portland is locked into the 5 seed, as a win or a loss in their final two cannot alter their playoff seeding.
