Joe Moorhead Joins Oregon Staff
A former SEC head football coach has found a new job.
Former Mississippi St. head coach Joe Moorehead will be the new offensive coordinator at Oregon.
The 46-year old Moorhead was fired after the Bulldogs finished the 2019 season at 6-7 following a 38-28 loss to Louisville in the Music City Bowl.
Mississippi St. went 8-5 in 2018, the first under Moorhead.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Moorehead replaced former Miss. St. head coach Dan Mullen, who left following the 2017 season to take the head coaching position at Florida.
Moorhead was previously a head coach at Fordham, from 2012-2015, guiding the Rams to an overall record of 38-13.
In between his stints at Fordham and Mississippi St., Moorhead served as the offensive coordinator at Penn St.
Over six seasons as a head coach, Moorhead has accumulated an overall record of 52-25.
