All Lowe’s Stores in Texas to Close for 24 Hours — Here’s Why
If you want to shop at your local Lowe's, there is one day in April that you won't be able to purchase anything inside any of those home improvement stores in Texas.
When is Lowe's closing one day in April?
Lowe's will actually see a temporary chain-wide closure later this month.
The home improvement store will be closed on Easter Sunday (April 20, 2025) to allow workers to spend time with their families.
The retail giant will only be closed for 24 hours.
How many Lowe's stores will this affect?
As of March 2025, Lowe's operates 1,751 stores in the United States.
There are a total of 144 locations across the great state of Texas. (By the way, San Antonio leads the way with 10 stores across the city.)

What about the competitors of Lowe's?
The Home Depot will not follow suit and will remain open on Easter Sunday. However, its stores do close for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ace Hardware, however, will be closed on Easter Sunday.

There seems to be a swing with major retailers closing for more and more holidays these days.
