Louisiana Set to Host Wrestlemania in 2026

(New Orleans, Louisiana) - Another major event that will be broadcast around the world is coming back to New Orleans, Louisiana in 2026.

The Crescent City recently hosted Super Bowl LIX and the city received rave reviews from those who attended the game and events surrounding the game.

Now, another major sporting/entertainment event is returning and that is WWE WrestleMania. The WWE announced that they are returning to New Orleans with their biggest show of the year on April 11 & 12 of 2026.

In addition to the two-night event in the Caesar's Superdome, WWE will host their Hall of Fame Ceremony in New Orleans, plus shows like RAW, Smackdown, and NXT. In addition to the shows in New Orleans in 2026, WWE will host several other events within the community when it returns to the city it loves.

This will be the third time WWE brings this enormous event to the city, which as you may imagine is a huge financial boost to the New Orleans community.

Jay Cicero, President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation released this statement via WWE's website:

“WWE is another outstanding partner of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation – hosting for a third time is a testament to WWE’s trust in our staff and the strength of our local partnerships. WWE events continue to have tremendous growth, including adding what will be a second night of action at the Caesars Superdome for their biggest event, WrestleMania,” 

Last week, WWE was in New Orleans for its weekly show Smackdown, and here's the moment The Rock announced that WrestleMania was returning to the Crescent City.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry had this to say about the huge announcement last week on WWE Smackdown, '“We are ecstatic to host WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans next year. Hosting this iconic event three times in the last 12 years is an honor we do not take lightly.”

Having attended the previous two WrestleMania events in New Orleans, I can tell you it is quite the experience. The production is top notch and the atmosphere in and outside of the dome is electric.

Information on tickets to WrestleMania 42 will be released in the months ahead.
