LSU gymnast and social media star Olivia "Livvy" Dunne will be appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the second year in a row.

Even though she appeared in the 2023 edition, Dunne will appear next time as an SI Swimsuit rookie. Some of the past "rookies" include Kate Upton, Brooklyn Decker and Chrissy Teigen.

“The decision to invite Livvy back to appear in the 2024 issue as a rookie was an easy one,” says SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day. “Last year, we featured Livvy the D1 athlete, highlighting her accolades as an all-academic and an all-star on the rise...We are so incredibly proud of what she continues to achieve and are so excited to welcome her back not as Livvy Dunne the LSU D1 gymnast, but as Livvy Dunne, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie.”

The 2024 edition of the magazine will be the 60th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Last year, Dunne traveled to Puerto Rico to do her photoshoot. For the 2024 issue, she traveled to Porto and North of Portugal and reunited with photographer Ben Watts, who captured her photos last year.

Dunne is equally as excited to be in the SI Swimsuit Issue for a second time.

“Coming back for Year 2, I mean, last year I said it was a dream come true, and nothing’s changed,” Dunne says. “It’s still a dream come true. I can’t believe I can call myself a rookie. It feels unreal.”

The 60th-anniversary edition of the SI Swimsuit Issue will come out in May 2024.

Dunne, by the way, will be entering her senior year as a member of the LSU gymnastics squad. The season kicks off on January 5, 2024, at home against Ohio State.
