LSU Football Player Accused of Alleged Sexual Assault of a Student on Campus

BATON ROUGE, La. - A criminal investigation is now underway involving an LSU football player and an alleged sexual assault involving a student on the LSU campus.

The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office confirmed with WAFB Tuesday, September 22, that it has opened a criminal investigation into the matter.

Alleged LSU Campus Incident Happened In 2025

According to the student's account, the alleged sexual assault happened around 4:30 a.m. on October 18, 2025, on the LSU campus.

The student recently discussed the allegation publicly in a video posted to TikTok. The video was shared about a week before the district attorney confirmed the new criminal investigation.

The allegation itself is not new, however. The East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office says the matter had previously gone through a campus-level investigation and review. The incident reportedly dates back to October 2025, but the case is receiving renewed attention after the student recently spoke publicly about what she says happened.

East Baton Rouge DA Requests Records

District Attorney Hillar Moore said his office was first presented with the matter for review Tuesday.

According to acadiananewsfirst.com, Moore said he has requested records and other information connected to the case from several agencies and organizations.

Those records include reports, interviews and evidence from LSU, LSU Police, the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office, along with any other agency that may have relevant information.

The DA's office is now reviewing that information as the criminal investigation moves forward.

LSU football Player Has Not Been Publicly Identified

At this point, authorities have not publicly identified the LSU football player accused in the allegation. We also do not have any information as to if the LSU accused is currently on the team for the 2026-27 season.

Being the subject of an investigation or allegation does not establish that a crime occurred or that the person involved is guilty. Any criminal charges or additional findings would have to come through the appropriate legal process.
