The calendar page is about to turn from October to November and in Louisiana that means the football season is about to get really interesting. In Lafayette, Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns are once again bowl-eligible and appear to be well on their way to a conference title. In Baton Rouge, the LSU Tigers have had their ups and downs and on November 9th will face what is basically a defacto college football playoff game.

You see on November 9th the twice-beaten Tigers will face the twice-beaten Alabama Crimson Tide. The match-up is one of the most talked about college football games of the season every year and this year the game takes place under the lights at LSU's Tiger Stadium. You'd think everyone who loves college football would be excited for the game that takes place in a little over two weeks.

When it comes to sticking his nose in places where it doesn't really belong Ole Miss Head Football Coach Lane Kiffin is among the best. Kiffin loves to force himself into stories and he's doing just that with the Alabama versus LSU game. Ole Miss has already lost to LSU this year and they don't play Alabama so what gripe could Kiffin have about the game?

Lane is upset that Alabama and LSU will play their game in prime time on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Kiffin and his Ole Miss Rebels will face Georgia earlier on that day in the SEC's 2:30 pm game. Kiffin is suggesting that giving LSU a Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium is an "unfortunate" advantage for the Tigers.

He's not wrong, the atmosphere at Tiger Stadium is totally different when the sun goes down. Kiffin seemed to sarcastically throw shade at the Tigers and the Southeastern Conference when addressing the issue. His comments seem to suggest the league might have a bias toward LSU and or Alabama over Ole Miss.

He's probably correct in that assumption. LSU and Alabama have national appeal. They have both recently won the National Championship and they have both produced Heisman Trophy Winners in recent years too.  Meanwhile, Ole Miss has done what this year? Lost to Kentucky? Yeah, let's put those guys in prime time.

I wonder when someone is going to offer Kiffin a Name, Image, and Likeness deal for wine. Lord knows that man knows how to do that. Except his wine would have the "h" in it.
