Major Renovations Coming to LSU Tiger Stadium for 2024 Football Season

When fans return to LSU's Tiger Stadium in 2024, they will notice some major changes to the historic stadium.

Multiple news outlets are reporting that LSU will be upgrading the historic stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in hopes of enhancing the game day experience for fans.

One of the newest trends in football stadiums is the lighting enhancements where the stadium lights strobe or go "off and on." Well, that feature could be on its way to Tiger Stadium in 2024, and if you thought that night games in "Death Valley" were wild before, wait until this lighting enhancement excites over 90,000 rowdy fans.

Some of the video boards in the stadium will also be upgraded, and if I have to guess it will likely be the larger scoreboard in the north end zone.

If you recall, two large video boards were recently added to the south end zone, but who knows?

In addition to the enhancements already mentioned here, other upgrades are planned to enhance the experience at Tiger Stadium in 2024.

Sports franchises and universities across the country have figured out that the game day experience for fans is a must and at times the experience is bigger than the actual game, thus that is why we're seeing so many upgraded facilities and what goes on around stadiums prior to games.

LSU's Tiger Stadium was built in 1924 and the university will be celebrating its 100 years in existence next football season.

In addition to hosting LSU football games, Tiger Stadium has been the home of huge concerts and even NFL games when the Saints were relocated after Hurricane Katrina.

Ask any Tiger fan what their best experience was at Tiger Stadium, and chances are you'll get many different answers---there's been that many great moments in "Death valley."
