Many in Louisiana are Disturbed by Photo of Gumbo on Social Media

Sometimes you hope what you see on social media isn't always accurate or true.

A case in point is a photo of Gumbo circulating on the social media platform after the recent cool front.

As temperatures dropped over the last few days in south Louisiana, many took out the gumbo pots and put their best recipes together. And I must say, many of the gumbos that I saw on social media looked delcisous.

Then there's this one. Someone posted a photo of their gumbo and in it is chicken and sausage, along with SHRIMP. While I don't oppose a good seafood gumbo, putting it in with chicken and sausage is a Southern sin.

I can't imagine what this would taste like and to be honest, I'd rather not even know.

Also, many on social media were critical of the roux or "juice" in this pot and that too doesn't look very tempting, at least for me.

So, with that said, here's the gumbo in question, and rightfully so.

Now, on the other hand, we had listeners submit photos of their gumbos over the weekend, and these all look much better and much more enticing.
