Festival International is a free event, and it always has been. You can come and bring a chair or dance the whole day free of charge.

If you want to enjoy easier access to beverage lines and bathrooms while helping to financially support the Festival, you can purchase a Lagniappe Pass or Bon Temps Pass.

When purchasing a pass, you will have access to express beverage lines, you won't have to wait in line for use of a restroom, and you will be helping to support the Festival. Click here for more information.

One of the biggest questions people have about buying a pass is whether or not it's transferable.  Here is the information from the Festival's website:

Yes. Each pass holder will be given daily wristbands. While the passes are not available to purchase per day, if you can't go for all five days, you can SHARE your wristbands with a friend. Corresponding wristbands for each day must be worn. Tampered-with wristbands will not be honored for entrance into Pass Areas.

According to Festival International organizers, they must raise $1 million each year in order to make the event become a reality.
