Elephant Escapes Circus Handlers, Startles Drivers on Roadway

An elephant escaped from its handlers and took a stroll through one community as drivers held their breath.

The circus was in Butte, Montana when the elephant got loose and decided to take a quick tour through the town.

You can see the huge animals roaming through traffic and those in vehicles held their breath in hopes that the animal wouldn't crush them or their car.

According to various reports, the elephant was contained and later returned to its handlers.
