The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is actively seeking a second suspect in connection with the shooting that took place on August 12, 2025. Following the incident in the 2600 block of Wagner Avenue, investigators quickly identified and arrested Jamelvion “JoJo” Lewis, who has been charged for his involvement.

While a residence was struck multiple times by gunfire, it is fortunate that no one inside was seriously injured. The ongoing investigation is now focused on locating 19 year-old Michael Pennington, who is wanted on a charge of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.

Public Assistance Requested

Authorities consider Michael Pennington to be armed and dangerous. The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating him to ensure the safety of the community.
