The NFL began playing games outside the U.S. in 2005, with the first game held in Mexico City. Since then, it has added games in Germany, Canada, and other countries to grow football worldwide. The International Series has grown from one game a year to several in multiple countries. In 2025, the NFL will have hosted 7 international games.
It is a foregone conclusion that the NFL will continue to add games in other countries over the next few years. It is an effort to continue to grow the game of football.
The New Orleans Saints have played in three international games, with the last one happening in 2022. But could the Saints be set up to take the show on the road in the near future?
It has certainly been a less-than-ideal number of years for the New Orleans Saints, but the organization has officially taken on the full rebuild. That's not something they were willing to do in the past, under General Manager Mickey Loomis.

New Orleans Saints Could Play Game in Paris As Early As 2026
On Tuesday, a report from Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com reports that the New Orleans Saints could be heading to Paris over the next two seasons. It could even come as early as 2026...
Saints president Dennis Lauscha said talks with the NFL and Paris stadium officials are going well, and an official announcement could come in the next few weeks.
If it happens, this would be the first NFL game ever played in Paris. The game would take place at Stade de France, which hosted events during the past two Summer Olympics.
It seems like this is a deal that is all but set that sends the Saints to play a game over in Paris. We'll keep you updated when this news is made official by the NFL.
