Back in their LSU days, both players put up huge numbers. Daniels won the Heisman Trophy in 2023 after throwing for 3,812 yards and rushing for 1,134. Nabers had an incredible season in 2023, catching 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns. Now in the NFL, both Daniels and Nabers are proving they have what it takes to have long, successful careers.

This Sunday, the two former Tigers faced off for the first time as opponents. The Commanders came out on top, winning 21-18. After the game, Daniels and Nabers swapped jerseys, a common tradition among friends and former teammates. What made this exchange even more special was the significance behind the jerseys. This game marked Daniels' first NFL win and Nabers' first 100-yard game.

Daniels shared how meaningful it was for both of them, saying, "It’s funny, he got my first win jersey, and I got his first 100-yard jersey. It means a lot to both of us."

During the game, Daniels had an impressive performance, completing 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards. Nabers also shined, catching 10 passes for 127 yards and scoring a touchdown. Daniels hinted that this is just the beginning of their matchups in the NFL, saying it’s the "first of many" times they’ll play against each other.
