Ichiro Reaches Another Milestone, & His Superfan Gets To Set It

Watch below, as Miami Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzuki singles against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, accumulating the 2,876th hit of his Major League Baseball career.

The hit has historical impact, as it ties Ichiro for 41st on the all-time list with Mel Ott, and puts him only one behind Omar Vizquel for spot #40.

What's even more impressive about the number of hits Ichiro has, is that he has reached that mark after coming to the United States late in his career, not playing in a big league game until 2001, at the age of 27.

An Ichiro superfan was in attendance to see the hit, proudly wearing a jersey of the Orix Blue Wave, who Ichiro played for during his time in Japan.
