The Miami Heat have taken a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven NBA Finals, after defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 88-86, on Sunday night, in Dallas, Texas.The Associated Press, courtesy of espn.com, reports that Dwyane Wade was the leading scorer for the Heat, with 29 points, while Dirk Nowitzki was the game's high-scorer, leading the way for the Mavs, with 34 points.

The Heat defense came up big, again. Nowitzki did score 34, but the rest of the Mavericks starters will held to a combined 27 points, and the Mavs were held to 40% shooting, from the field.

Game four will be Tuesday night, in Dallas, Texas, at 8 pm (cdt).
