BCS Strips USC of ’04 National Championship
For the first time, a football or men's basketball championship has been vacated.
The BCS announced today that USC must vacate it's 2004 national title as a result of Reggie Bush receiving improper benefits, which made him an ineligible player.
Final Four records have been vacated in the past, but a men's basketball champion has never had to vacate a title.
USC beat Oklahoma 55-19 in that title game. ESPN.com has the breaking story.
