(The following is an Acadiana Wreckin’ Ram Football game preview, written by the voice of the Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman)

The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams (3-0) continued playing good football last Friday as they defeated the Carencro Golden Bears 48-13. The Rams tried and true formula of a powerful running game paid off as the Rams rushed for 426 yards and 5 touchdowns. The going was tough, but the Rams were led by Dillon Monette with 162 yards and 1 touchdown, while Ziggy Francis added 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jaylon Borel got in on the Veer action as well, scoring 2 rushing touchdowns and 2 passing touchdowns for good measure.

The Terrible Turk defense continued its stingy play as it held it's third straight opponent to less than 300 yards of total offense and only allowed the Bears a touchdown on a 40 yard drive and a 79 yard touchdown run. The defense has only given up one scoring drive of over 50 yards this year (Week 2 vs Ruston).

District play starts tonight as the Wreckin' Rams host the New Iberia Yellow Jackets (1-2). This week will also see Acadiana celebrate homecoming. New Iberia is led by their quarterback, Austin Norris, who has passed for 658 yards and 4 touchdowns on the year. New Iberia has four wide receivers with over one hundred yards receiving on the season, so the Ram defense will not only have to cover well, but pressure from the front four would not hurt either.

The game can be heard over the air in the Acadiana area on the am dial at ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on the free smart phone app RadioPup. The pre-game show starts at 6:02 p.m. with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
