Hungry? Try a $100 Hot Dog
If you think the hot dogs at the stadium are a little pricey, wait until you get a load of this.
DougieDog, a Frankfurter outfit in Vancouver, Canada is now offering the $100 ‘Dragon Dog,’ a foot-long bratwurst that is topped with kobe beef, truffle oil, fresh lobster and — here’s the kicker — is infused with hundred-year-old Louis XIII cognac, which costs over $2000 a bottle.
While paying a c-note for what is generally the most lowbrow of meat sandwiches would give most people heartburn, the $100 dog ($98.68 in US currency) is actually quite a bargain when compared to some of the other ridiculously expensive foods we’ve come across, such as the $1,000 bagel.
So if you find yourself in Vancouver with a Benjamin to spare, dig in. Just, please, don’t put ketchup on it.
