It finally happened. Longtime New Orleans Saints kicker Morten Andersen has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He will be enshrined along with the rest of the class at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Field in Canton, Ohio on Saturday, August 5.
I made my own New Orleans Saints Mount Rushmore, getting flack some a few fans in the office. I'm not sure why. My choices are all about the Hall of Fame.
I recently reported, Saints head coach Sean Payton was helping out at the Annual Manning Passing Academy, when he surprised Archie Manning with a ring commemorating the former quarterback's induction into the Saints ring of honor. Manning is joined in the inaugural class by Hall of Fame linebacker Rickey Jackson, and Hall of Fame tackle Willie Roaf. The Saints have announced, the trio will be joined by long time kicker Morten Andersen.
