Saints Put One Of Their Captains On Non Football Injury List

After an agonizing loss to the Denver Broncos, the Saints (4-5) have lost one of their captains.

Specials teams captain/linebacker Michael Mauti was placed on the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list today by New Orleans, according to multiple reports.

Mauti was in the midst of a solid season. He appears on the Saints injury report last week with an undisclosed illness.

Safety Chris Banjo, a former special teams captain with the Green Bay Packers, was signed to replace Mauti's roster spot.
