Viral ‘High Speed Chase’ in Henderson, LA Isn’t Exactly Fast—But It’s Definitely Something

A viral video is making the rounds on Facebook after a bizarre scene played out on the streets of Henderson, Louisiana: a man riding what appears to be a miniature ATV being pursued by both a Henderson Police cruiser and a St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office truck.

The chase—if you can call it that—was captured by Cristal Duplechin and posted to her Facebook page with the caption “High speed chase in Henderson.” And while “high speed” might be a bit generous (the ATV doesn’t appear to break 30-40 mph), the video itself is pure entertainment.

In the clip, you can see the small four-wheeler zipping down the road while law enforcement follows, lights flashing and sirens howling. The comments? Just as ridiculous as the chase:a

• “So they couldn’t get in front of him that’s dumb”
• “Tell him I like his ride and I got bail money and a comfy bed—I’m bout that life”
• “That look like my old boyfriend”
• “Make shareable ”
• “That’s in front of my work!”

At the time of this post, no official statements have been released by the Henderson Police Department or the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. One commenter claimed the suspect somehow managed to escape, but we have not received confirmation of that.

So for now, Henderson residents—keep your eyes peeled for a runaway mini ATV. If you blink, you might miss it. Literally.
