Louisiana Prepares for Freezing Rain Later in Week
Winter temperatures have moved into Louisiana and now some parts of the state are preparing for freezing rain later this week.
If you love winter, you have to be loving the recent temperatures, but rain does move back into the forecast on Thursday and Friday, and that is when some in Louisiana may have to deal with freezing rain and sleet.
Unfortunately, if you're in south Louisiana you will not see any winter precipitation this week, but our neighbors in north Louisiana should prepare for ice and sleet on Thursday and into Friday morning.

Keep in mind, that winter isn't over and we often see some of our coldest days and nights in late January and into February. So, for those of you who are hoping for some "winter stuff" here in Acadiana, there's still a chance this winter that you'll get what you're hoping for.
Until then, keep your gumbo pots out and please remember to take care of your pets that may be outdoors during the winter.
