According to the press release we received from LPD, " This initiative aims to significantly improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents caused by red light violations across the city."

The mission of this campaign is to make the roads in Lafayeytte safer; thus, you will see an increase in police presence at some major intersections and where red light violations are most common.

LPD goes on to say in their press release, "The LPD urges all drivers to prioritize safety and come to a complete stop at red lights. By working together, we can make Lafayette’s roads safer for everyone."

Stay safe on the roads, and please remember to approach intersections with traffic signals with caution.
