Hot Food Express, a popular Lafayette eatery known for its bold Asian-fusion flavors, is expanding to Youngsville. After more than 20 years of serving customers at its original 3013 Cameron Street location, owner Zee Baloch is bringing the restaurant’s popular menu to a new side of town.

“We’ve had people coming from Youngsville and Broussard for years,” Baloch shared. “They’ve been asking for a closer location, and I’ve noticed how many are paying extra on delivery apps to get their food. It was clear we needed to bring Hot Food Express to them.”

The new Youngsville location will feature a streamlined menu, designed to offer quicker service, particularly for delivery and pick-up. Baloch emphasized that the new restaurant’s approach will focus on speed and convenience, using technology to improve order accuracy. “Convenience is key at this new spot. People want their food fast and fresh, and we’re going to deliver that,” Baloch said.

Fans of Hot Food Express couldn’t be more excited. One commenter on the restaurant’s Facebook post celebrating the news wrote, “Yay! Finally, we won’t have to drive so far now!” Others shared their enthusiasm, with one saying, “It’s about time!” and another adding, “One of the best food announcements to hit Youngsville!”

The new location will have no seating, but it may offer a drive-through, depending on zoning approval. While the exact address hasn’t been revealed yet, Baloch assured that it will be centrally located to serve the area. “We’re focusing on delivery and pick-up, because that’s what people are asking for,” he said.

As the restaurant gears up for the move, Baloch says the reaction from the community is pushing him to work quickly. “The excitement we’re seeing makes us want to get open even faster,” he added.
