LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) – Get your planting gloves ready, Acadiana—Festival des Fleurs 2025 is just around the corner! This vibrant celebration of spring also serves as a fundraiser for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Ira Nelson Horticulture Center. It’s more than just a festival—it’s an educational experience highlighting the beauty and benefits of horticulture and gardening.
A Wide Variety of Plants Available for Sale
Not only can you learn about planting and landscaping, but you’ll also have the chance to buy plants for your own garden. Some of the plants available for purchase include:

Local Gardening Organizations Getting Involved
Festival des Fleurs is made possible through the help of several local gardening organizations, including the Lafayette Garden Club, Bonsai Society of Acadiana, and the Acadiana Orchid Society.

The Lafayette Garden Club will feature a competitive floral design showcase by club members, along with a horticulture display competition that’s open to all gardeners, whether they’re members or not.
