New Iberia Halloween Parade Set for Saturday, October 26
It's nearing the time for all the ghouls and goblins to come out as Halloween is approaching. Trick-or-treating will be happening over the next several days here in south Louisiana.
However, one Acadiana city is getting a jump on the festivities this weekend with something fairly unique -- they're hosting a Halloween parade.
The New Iberia Halloween Parade will take place downtown on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
The parade will start in front of New Iberia City Hall, where the fountain in the civic center will be turned black in celebration of the Halloween festivities.
After that, the parade will kick off and run the "regular" parade route through Main Street.

The Halloween Parade will feature floats, vehicles, and walkers decorated in spooky attire and decorations instead of the usual Mardi Gras or Christmas decor that you'd see in other parades.
Following the parade, a Trunk-or-Treat event will be held at Boulginy Plaza for the kids to continue to enjoy the festivities.
If anyone is interested in participating in the Trunk-or-Treat or parade should email hmallet@cityofnewiberia.com. There still may be a chance you can get in and be a part of this great family-friendly event.
