NEW ORLEANS, La. (KMDL-FM) - New Orleans is known around the world for culture, food, the paranormal, and of course music. On just about every corner on Bourbon Street or Frenchmen Street you'll find amazing street performers.

Some dance, some juggle, some stand as still as statues, but the majority of street performers in New Orleans have something to with music. From guitar players to jazz trios, brass bands to drummers, the talent you'll find on the streets of the Crescent City is incredible.

You'll also find some phenomenal singers around every corner. Singers who are so good you feel like you're hearing the next big undiscovered talent just about on every other block.

That brings us to this New Orleans street performer singing a cover of Jelly Roll's "Save Me" caught on video. As he casually and seemingly effortlessly belts out the song, he literally stops people in their tracks to hear more.

Posted by House of Cards on Newbreak, the video shows the New Orleans street performer singing the Jelly Roll hit, and he's so good it immediately makes you think "How is this guy not famous?"

Well, as this video starts to go more and more viral, he soon might be.

You'd think he could easily make his way onto a show like American Idol or The Voice, right?

Towards the end of the video you'll see people tip him for his performance, and rightly so.

After writing the first part of this post, I did a little more digging to see if I could find out who this guy is. Turns out he is Jourdan Blue from Metairie, Louisiana. Jourdan was actually a contestant on Season 20 of America's Got Talent in 2025 who came in 3rd place.

Jourdan has an incredible story that he shared while on America's Got Talent, telling the show how he overcame homelessness, addiction, and a near fatal overdose when he was just 18-years-old.

He tells People.com he's always had a love of singing and honed his skills performing on Bourbon Street.
