Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Set to Open Three New Locations in Louisiana

Dickey's Barbecue Pit will be expanding its footprint across Louisiana with at least three new locations opening soon.

Gaubert Oil Company, which operates 18 GoBears convenience stores in Louisiana, has announced it will franchise and open Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurants at three of its locations.

What cities can we expect these new Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurants to open?

The first Dickey's to open will be at the GoBears off of I-49 in Grand Coteau. The second will come to one of Gaubert's five convenience stores in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

The third location has not yet been announced.

All three of these restaurants will feature Dickey's signature barbecue dishes like smoked brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, along with a variety of side dishes.

“The food is incredible, my team is excited, and we’re thrilled to introduce Texas-style barbecue to our customers,” said Grady Gaubert, president and CEO of Gaubert Oil.

Go-Bears already features other great restaurants

Many of the GoBears stores across the state already feature other restaurants, such as Subway, Noble Roman's Pizza, and its own Southern Eatery.

The Grand Coteau GoBears already has an adjacent casino and one of Gaubert's Southern Eatery restaurants.

It's unclear if the new Dickey's at this location will be replacing one of the aforementioned or if it will be built separately.

How many Dickey's Barbecue Pit locations are there in Louisiana?

Dickey's Barbecue Pit currently has 14 locations across Louisiana, including three in the Acadiana area (Lafayette, Carencro, Crowley).

The history behind Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Dickey's has been serving up authentic, slow-smoked Texas barbecue since 1941. They currently have over 500 locations in 44 states across America.

In addition to brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, Dickey's meat offerings include chicken breast, turkey, and Polish kielbasa. It also offers boneless and bone-in chicken wings in addition to a plethora of sandwiches.

Dickey's also has great side dishes including fries, barbecue beans, cabbage slaw, fried okra, mac and cheese, potato salad, and more.
