Christmas in the Park Returning to Moncus Park in Lafayette from Dec. 13-15

It's never too early to get excited about the holidays. Moncus Park in Lafayette has a great event to help you start thinking about Christmas.

Christmas in the Park, three nights of seasonal festivities from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, will begin on Friday, December 13, and run through Sunday, December 15, 2024.

What can we expect to enjoy at Christmas in the Park?

Christmas in the Park will feature fun activities to get the whole family in the holiday spirit. Patrons can enjoy several free attractions:

• Santa's Workshop provided by Love Our Schools
  • Includes Bubbles Bus Acadiana, Santa Letters, and more
• Christmas Light Tunnel
• Playground & Treehouses
• Selfie Stations
• Live Music at the First Horizon Amphitheater brought to you by Acadiana Bottling Company
• Artisans Market
• Sensory Zone by Speak & The Sensory Experience

There will also be several paid attractions as well:

• Sneauxville presented by Our Lady of Lourdes
  • $5 entry per person
  • Let your little ones experience real snow for the first time. Only available on December 13 & 14 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
• Santa Photos presented by Whataburger
• S'mores Zone presented by Rader Solutions
  • $5 for S'mores set
• Face Painting by Dip & Dabble
  • Price varies

Drinks and Eats at Christmas in the Park

Eventgoers will be able to choose from a wide array of drink choices from cocktails, beer, wine, soda, water, and hot chocolate (even the boozy variety of it). There will be several food trucks at the event as well.

Where do we park for Christmas at the Park?

That's always the million-dollar question at Moncus Park. You will have a couple of options:

1. $20 On-Site Parking Fundraiser
2. Free parking with free service shuttle. Park at 305 Coliseum Road (next to Blackham Coliseum) and take the free, fast shuttle to Moncus Park. Made possible by Service Chevrolet Cadillac. Available each night from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
