Texas Man Arrested After Shooting Outside of Louisiana Nightclub
A Texas man is in police custody after one man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Lake Charles nightclub.
KPLC TV reports that a man from Port Arthur, Texas, is in police custody in connection with the shooting that happened early Sunday morning.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says that they responded to the shooting at 5 am on March 9th at Cowboys on Common Street.

Detectives determined that during an altercation in the parking lot, Fabian D. Charles, 34, discharged a firearm, striking the victim, who died at a local hospital.
KPLC reports that Charles was charged with the following:
- Second degree murder
- Illegal use of weapons by discharging a firearm during a crime of violence
- Obstruction of justice
The incident is still under investigation, and we will continue to follow this story out of Lake Charles.
