(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Acadiana's own, Daniel Cormier, announced on social media that when he returned to the airport while away covering a UFC event, his new truck was stolen.

Lafayette's own, who provides commentary for the UFC, posted a video on social media announcing that the new vehicle he had parked at the San Jose airport had been stolen.

As Daniel returned from UFC 317, he went up and down the rows in the parking garage at the airport looking for his new vehicle, only to find out from the attendants in the parking garage that his truck had exited while he was away.

Sadly, someone stole Cormier's vehicle, which he had purchased four days prior, and the UFC legend was left standing in the airport parking garage.

How to Secure a Vehicle

Remember, when you're parking your vehicle in public, always try to park in a well-lit area and always lock your doors. Experts also suggest engaging your parking brakes when parking your vehicle for an extended period.

The brakes can slow down would-be thieves when they're in a hurry to get away in your vehicle, thus perhaps discouraging them.

Here's Daniel explaining his situation while he was in the parking garage. We'll continue to follow his unfortunate situation, and we hope that he gets his new vehicle back or that a sponsor gifts him a new one; he deserves it.
